About the studio

A considered practice for homes that hold their character

Foster Alexander Interiors has worked with homeowners and developers since 2016 — on full-room design, space planning, and material selections that earn their place and age well past the first season.

Fewer projects, more attention

We take on two to three projects at a time. Not because we can't handle more — because the work requires it. Each home gets the full weight of our attention, not a scheduled share of it.

Every project begins with listening. We ask about how you live, what you've loved in spaces before, and what you've quietly wished were different. The brief emerges from that conversation — not the other way around.

Restraint
The best version of a room almost always has less in it. We edit until the unnecessary is gone — then we stop.
Durability
We specify for ten years, not for the next trend cycle. A considered interior should outlast the brief that created it.
Honesty
We tell clients when the brief is unclear, when the budget doesn't match the ambition, and when a different approach would serve them better.
Quiet
Good design doesn't announce itself. It earns attention by being exactly right — in proportion, in material, in light.
